René Ashton is a woman of multiple talents and interests. Since she was 21-years old, her passion for acting has landed her more than 80 commercials for clients like Jeep, TGI Friday’s, Ross Dept. Store, Charles Schwab, Chef Boy R’ Dee, Honda, Burger King, Chevy, Pepsi, McDonald’s, Disneyland, Red Lobster, Energizer Batteries, Taco Bell, Assurant Health Insurance, Econo Lodge, Bud Light, Cable One, Pacific Care Insurance, Gallo Wine, Vons, Hallmark, Home Depot, Sherwin Williams, Key Bank, Humana One, Sprite, Low’s, Wellbutrin, Miracle Gro, Toyota, SBC Global, Sears, General Motors, DHL Delivery Service, Woolite Pods, Frontline Flea and Tick Control, Rembrandt, Cable One, Kay Jewelers, Subaru, Corona, Rite Aid, Latisse... She has also appeared in numerous television shows including Castle, Rules of Engagement, Desperate Housewives, Dark Blue, Dexter, Private Practice, Nip Tuck, CSI, Party Down, All My Children, Las Vegas, Dexter, Big Love, 7th Heaven, Six Feet Under, Joan of Arcadia, The Guardian, Spin City, Melrose Place, Strong Medicine, Days of Our Lives, Providence, and Seinfeld. Not only does René act in film and TV, she writes her own material. Her first film, the romantic comedy, BE MY BABY, starring herself and Lacey Chabert is now on DVD on television worldside. Larry Meistrich (Exec. Producer of SLING BLADE) purchased her second film, BOY’S NAME, which she will also star. Her first pilot presentation, MILF MONEY, starring herself and Missi Pyle, was shot in January of this year. She is currently in pre-production on her next one that will be shot in July. After René began teaching on-camera commercial intensives in Los Angeles she began penning her own books.
